What is an online constellation board?

An online constellation board is the digital form of the classic constellation board, also known as a system board or family board. Instead of wooden figures on a board in your practice room, you place figures on a virtual board together with your clients, wherever both of you happen to be. The method stays the same: relationships, conflicts and inner parts become spatially visible, and therefore talkable.

Figures have viewing directions, sizes and emotion faces, lines and areas mark relationships and subsystems, and the camera moves freely, down to the first-person view of a single figure. All three terms describe the same tool: a board on which figures stand in for people, inner parts or topics, making relationships and dynamics visible. How does a constellation on an online board work?
